If you've never encountered dobby fabrics before, you're in for a treat! Dobby fabric has a slightly raised, uneven texture, that is still durable and suitable for piecing and applique. Dobby fabric is often used in Japanese quilting for its unique texture and how it plays with light. Also suitable for tops, dresses, skirts, pants, and home decor projects.

This solid steel-y teal blue (more blue than teal) dobby fabric from Morikiku is dyed, meaning both sides of the fabric are the same color. The dobby weave and heathered look of the fabric lends a luxurious texture and depth to an otherwise "plain" solid.
